KMUUN products and services are operated by Chonel Industrial (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (“we” or “KMUUN”). We commit to protecting your data by following legal and regulatory requirements and industry security standards to ensure that your information is safe and manageable. This KMUUN Privacy Policy (“this Policy”) explains how we collect, use, transfer, store, and disclose your personal information, and your rights regarding your data. We encourage you to read this Policy carefully to make informed decisions when using KMUUN products and services.

Please note:

This Policy applies to all KMUUN products and services, including those provided via our hardware, software, or services integrated into third-party products (such as mini-programs and public accounts). Because KMUUN products and services vary, specific policies may apply depending on the nature of the product or service. Therefore, we may also provide privacy notices or supplementary statements for particular services, in which case the specific terms will prevail over this Policy if there is any inconsistency.

You are not required to accept this Policy. However, if you decline, KMUUN may not be able to provide full services or resolve certain specific issues. You may choose to stop using our products or services at any time. Continuing to use our products or services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.

When specific KMUUN products or services cease operations, we will notify you via system messages, announcements, SMS, or email and manage your information per this Policy. If KMUUN permanently discontinues services, this Policy will expire, and we will handle your information following legal requirements.

Scope of Information Collection and Usage

  1. Account Registration and Verification
    To register a KMUUN account, you must provide your phone number, password, and verification code to comply with identity verification requirements. You may also provide supplementary information, such as a nickname, avatar, email, fingerprint, and ID card. Refusal to provide additional data will not affect your basic use of KMUUN’s services.

  2. Online Transaction Services
    KMUUN uses personal information to support transactions, including sharing necessary information with third-party payment institutions (e.g., Alipay, WeChat Pay). If you request an invoice, email or phone details will be needed. Additional data may be required for events or prize giveaways, including real-name authentication and contact information.

  3. KMUUN Cloud Services
    Through KMUUN Cloud, you can connect KMUUN devices for remote control or management. KMUUN may collect product serial numbers, verification codes, and device interaction data (e.g., remote intercom audio, camera screenshots).

  4. Customer Service
    To assist with inquiries and support, KMUUN may collect communication records and related details, including account, order, and payment information.

Data Protection and Retention

  1. Data Security Measures
    KMUUN employs various security protocols, including HTTPS for secure data transmission, encryption, data isolation, and rigorous access control measures.

  2. Data Retention Period
    Personal data will be stored within China for the duration of your use of KMUUN services. If you cancel your account or delete information, KMUUN will retain certain information for a legally mandated period before permanently deleting or anonymizing it.

Third-Party Services

For added functionality, KMUUN integrates several third-party SDKs (e.g., WeChat, Apple ID login, Google login) that may collect specific device and user information. Please review each third-party’s privacy policy for details.

We collect information that you voluntarily submit or authorize us to collect in two main categories:

  1. Essential Information for Basic Services: This includes information required to use our core products and services. If you decline to provide this information, you may not be able to use these services fully.

  2. Additional Information for Enhanced Services: For added features, additional data may be needed. Refusal to provide this information may limit the use of these enhanced features but will not affect access to basic services.

Please be aware:

  • Different Products and Services: Due to variations across KMUUN products and services, the specific data collected may vary depending on your selections.

  • Handling Third-Party Information: If the data you submit or collected through KMUUN includes third-party information, please ensure that you have obtained authorization from the respective parties. For children’s data, obtain prior consent from their guardians.

Specific Uses of Personal Information:

  • Account Registration, Login, and Verification: To register, you must provide your phone number, password, and verification code. Additional optional details like nickname, email, or avatar may be provided but are not mandatory.

  • Online Transaction Services: During transactions, we may share necessary information with third-party payment processors (e.g., order number, payment method) to verify your payment and prepare for shipping.

  • KMUUN Cloud Services: For device binding and control through KMUUN Cloud, we may collect information such as your device serial number, activation code, and user audio when using remote intercom features. You can disable microphone permissions to opt out of audio recording.

2. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

KMUUN and our third-party service providers may use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixel tags) to enhance user experience. For instance, we use cookies to simplify repeated logins, store preferences, and optimize advertising choices.

You may manage cookies through system settings. However, rejecting cookies may affect your experience, requiring manual changes on each visit and potentially impacting security.

3. Delegated Processing, Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure of Personal Information

  • Delegated Processing: KMUUN may delegate processing tasks to affiliated or external companies with specialized technical skills, such as SMS or email distribution. We require them to adhere to strict confidentiality agreements and data deletion protocols once processing tasks are complete.

  • Sharing of Personal Information: KMUUN shares your personal data only for lawful, justified, specific purposes under secure protocols. For example, we may share information with affiliated companies or third-party partners, such as logistics providers, to support service delivery.

    Current Third-Party Partners Include:

    • Logistics and Customer Support Providers: We share relevant data (e.g., order details) to facilitate customer support and shipping.

    • Message Push Services: We use providers like Daily Interaction Technology Co., Ltd. to ensure timely notifications. These partners may access device information to maintain message functionality.

  • Data Transfer: We do not transfer control of your personal information to other parties unless we have received explicit consent or are required by law.

  • Public Disclosure: We will only publicly disclose your personal information with explicit consent or as legally mandated, such as in response to law enforcement requests.

Exceptions to Consent Requirements:

Under applicable laws, including the Cybersecurity Law and Personal Information Security Specification, certain scenarios allow data processing without prior consent, including when data is related to:

  • National security, defense, or public health and safety
  • Legal investigations, litigation, and enforcement
  • Life-saving measures in emergencies where consent is difficult to obtain

4. Data Protection and Retention

  • Data Security: KMUUN takes all reasonable steps to protect personal data, including encryption, secure network transmission protocols (e.g., HTTPS), and restricted access control.

  • Data Retention: Personal information collected within China is stored domestically. Data retention adheres to local laws, with information stored as long as required to fulfill the original purpose or as mandated. For example, order data may be retained for a minimum of three years per Chinese E-commerce Law. Upon expiration, data is deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights Over Personal Information

Under relevant laws and standards, KMUUN upholds your rights over your personal information, which include:

Accessing or Correcting Personal Information:
You have the right to access your personal information, except in cases specified by law. You may review and update details as follows:

  1. Account Information: Access your profile, nickname, phone number, and other registration information through the KMUUN App under “My Account” or “Account Security.”

  2. Online Transaction Information: Within the KMUUN App, you can review and correct shipping addresses, order details, and transaction history.

  3. KMUUN Cloud Service Usage: You can access information about connected KMUUN devices, model details, and service usage through the KMUUN App.

Some personal information cannot be accessed or modified directly (e.g., device security details), as they are crucial for service and data integrity. If necessary, contact KMUUN to request deletion or anonymization.

Deleting Personal Information:
You may delete non-essential registration details, order history, and addresses directly through the product or service interface. Additionally, you may request deletion under the following circumstances:

  • If our handling of your information violates laws or agreements.
  • If you withdraw consent or deactivate your KMUUN account.

Upon approving your request, we will notify any entities that accessed your information to delete it as well, except as legally required.

Modifying Consent or Withdrawing Authorization:
You can withdraw consent for specific functions by deleting data, disabling features, or managing privacy settings within the KMUUN App. Revoking consent may affect service functionality but will not impact prior authorized use.

Account Deletion:
You may delete your KMUUN account anytime via the KMUUN App. After account deletion, we will cease providing services and delete or anonymize your data per legal requirements.

Obtaining Copies and Requests for Responses:
You may request copies of your personal information. For security, we may ask for proof of identity. KMUUN will respond to requests within 15 business days. Reasonable requests are free of charge, but excessive or repetitive requests may incur a fee.

Requests may be denied if they:

  • Contravene national security or public interests.
  • Cause harm to legal rights of you or others.
  • Conflict with legal obligations to retain data.

6. Protection of Minors’ Information

KMUUN values the protection of minors’ personal information. For children or minors under 18, guardians are required to review this Policy carefully before the minor provides any information. We collect minors’ data only with guardian consent and use or disclose it as legally required.

7. Third-Party Services

For optimal functionality, KMUUN integrates multiple third-party SDKs. Here are examples:
